DUNMORE, AB – It really does pay off to promote school bus safety.
Prairie Rose School Division No. 8 students are encouraged to enter the School Bus Safety Multimedia Contest, a province-wide initiative to promote caution and care when it comes to school buses.
There is a $1,000 prize for the first place winner’s school, $750 for second place and $500 for third place.
Entries may be made in any electronic medium (e.g. video, audio, photographic, etc.). There is a 75-second maximum on any audio-only entry, such as a radio ad or song. There is a seven-minute maximum on all visual submissions.
This year’s contest has two themes: Red Light Violations and Dangers of Driver Distraction. Entrants can choose to incorporate either of the two themes into their submission or include them both.
The contest is open to all students enrolled in Alberta between grades 7 and 12. Entries must be received by March 10, 2010.
